Sarah Kovar of Fayette, OH has been awarded the Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers Scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year. Sarah, daughter of Terry and Jean Kovar, is a junior at The Ohio State University majoring in Agribusiness and Applied Economics.

A 2012 graduate of Fayette High School, Sarah plans to work for an agricultural cooperative and raise beef cattle.

The Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers Scholarship, open to Agribusiness and Applied Economics majors at OSU, is awarded on the basis of scholarship, leadership, and potential contribution to the agricultural industry. It is one of several scholarships made available by agribusiness firms, individuals, and agricultural organizations for students interested in agribusiness, farm finance, agricultural marketing, farm management, and closely related areas.
