Four County Career Center To Conduct Full-Scale Emergency Exercise

April 13, 2023No Comments1 Min Read

On Monday, May 1, 2023, Four County Career Center will be participating in a full-scale exercise designed to evaluate response procedures. The exercise will take place from approximately 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

This disaster mitigation exercise is designed to prepare for emergencies, should they occur. This is a state-mandated exercise that must occur once every three years.

FCCC will be simulating an active shooter scenario during the rehearsal drill. NO weapons will be used during the rehearsal drill that could endanger the students or staff members.

FCCC will conduct the full-scale exercise in partnership with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Henry County Emergency Management Agency, and local first responders.

Be advised that during the exercise, there will be a significant Emergency Response presence around the school.

Any person who is not a participant in the drill will be prohibited from entering the building/grounds until the exercise concludes.

Significant communication will be used to inform all members of the FCCC community and visitors that an exercise is in progress.

Please contact Superintendent Jeffrey Slattery if you have any questions regarding the full-scale emergency exercise at 419-267-3331 or jslattery@fcanywhere.net.
