On a hot and sunny day, the Bryan Recreational Park was consumed with the laughter and joy of families, children, and community members.
As a yearly tradition, Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce put on their Day-in-the-Park festivities June 25. A full day of activities was had from 11:00 a.m. till 11:00 p.m.
The mid-way was full of food trucks with fair food and drinks. Vendors selling things like corn hole bags, kids bubble blowing machines, jewelry and much more.
A favorite of many was the dunk tank that featured Barney. Carnival games with cane tosses, claw machines and corn hole were a big hit.
Among all the fun activities held in the park, D&D Putting from Continental, Ohio had a mini putt-putt golf course set up.
Around the fun miniature golf course were giant bounce houses that occupied many children, one of the bounce house rides was a water slide with a small pool at the bottom.
Some donors for the bounce houses were First Presbyterian Church of Bryan and Advanced Rehabilitation Technology.
Although there was an unfortunate postponement of A Girl Named Tom’s free concert, the Fountain City Amphitheater planning committee and Bryan Area Foundation found a great act to fill the spot. Country music artist, Zach Diemer, who recently performed in Archbold, Ohio.
Around 10:00 p.m. when it was dark and the concert had finished, a large firework show was had to finish off a great Day In The Park.
