The Fulton County commissioners held their regular meetings Aug. 4 and 6. The meetings began at 9 a.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.
The board approved a one-year agreement with Beckmoor LLC, estimated at $34,026.54, to provide employability instruction and workplace support for Fulton County high school juniors and seniors ages 16 to 19. The contract runs through July 31, 2027.
Commissioners approved Angela Johnston as the Senior Center’s assessments and services coordinator at $22 per hour and Jerry Gilbert as a substitute at $15 per hour. Both appointments are pending required employment screenings.
Financial action included transferring $5,000 for sewer odor-control supplies and $8,000 for increased employee health-insurance costs.
The board also approved a $6,000 community development grant draw, $27,050.07 in departmental reimbursements and a $2,725 appropriation for county court probation services.
The board approved a $27,750 increase to its Wessler Engineering agreement for additional bidding and construction-administration work on the Pleasant View Wastewater Treatment Plant project. The change raises the contract’s not-to-exceed amount to $69,750.
Commissioners also approved bills, purchase orders and submitted travel requests. Regular meetings scheduled for Sept. 8 and 10 were canceled to allow commissioners to participate in Fulton County Fair events.
