Fulton County Commissioners In Bid Opening Season As Construction Begins

Bid opening for County Road H improvements in Fulton County was done at the beginning of the Thursday, April 8, 2021 FC Commissioners meeting.

The following bids were opened and read: Gerken Paving $899,342.45; Miller Brothers $909,051.43; Vernon Nagel $873,048.78; Henry W. Bergman $929,987.26; and Geddis Paving and Excavating $909,569.90.

The regular session was called to order at 9:04 a.m. and began with the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer as all FC Commissioner meetings do.

With all three commissioners present, the following were approved: Minutes of April 6, 2021; Agenda as presented; Increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments; and purchase orders and travel requests. Resolutions approved:


-Resolution 256 Execute letter in support of Grant Application with ODOT for Triangular Processing

-Resolution 257 Contract #2021-44 with Miller Bros. Construction, Inc. for Bridge 10-2M.3 Replacement on behalf of FC Engineer

-Resolution 258 Draw #11 for FY19 CDBG B-F-19-1AX-1


-Resolution 259 Waiver of ALS Charges

The commissioners also reviewed a number of items including amended certificate of estimated resources, certificate of non compliance, FC Solid Waste facility compliance letter, and weekly dog warden reports for weeks of March 20 and 27, 2021.

During the Tuesday, April 13 meeting, the commissioners (minus Jeff Rupp) approved all the normal items: agenda as amended, minutes of previous meeting, payment of bills, increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments and Purchase orders and travel requests.


They reviewed the Clerk of Courts 1st Quarter 2020 Financial reports and the 2020 Microfilm Expense Report.

Also Approved were:

-Resolution 266 Execute CORSA Application for Surety Bond with regard to financial responsibility for underground storage tanks

-Resolution 267 Contract 2021-45 with Perry Pro Tech for Copier Machine on behalf of Fulton county Veterans Services

-Resolution 268 Contract 2021-46 with Ohio Department of Aviation for FY18 Ohio Airport Grant program

-Resolution 269 Authorize Appointment of members to FC LEPC and authorize Board President to sign Application


-Resolution 270 Enter into participation agreement 2021-47 with CORSA

-Resolution 271 Amendment #3 to Contract 2014-43 with RTEC Communications for Internet Access Services

Bids were opened for North Star BlueScope Steel US20A Turn Lane with Engineers Estimate at $202,200. Geddis Paving $197,450.41; Gerken Paving $197,700; and Geo Gradel $198,600 were the bids.
