BOYS BASKETBALL

Lima Bath 44 Bryan 37

BRYAN –The Golden Bears (1-13) rallied with a 15-6 final quarter, but it wasn’t enough as they lost at home to Lima Bath 44-37. Sam Herold and Jase Kepler had seven points apiece for Bryan.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Lima Bath, 45-43

Antwerp 67 Montpelier 26

ANTWERP – Jagger Landers had 23 and Luke Krouse chipped in with 11 as the Archers (14-1) owned a 46-17 lead at halftime on their way to a 67-26 win.

Garret Walz led the Loco (2-14) offense with four three-pointers and buckets for 16.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Antwerp, 51-38

Wauseon 48 Springfield 45

WAUSEON – Tyson Rodriguez provided a spark for the Indians by scoring seven of his 12 points in the fourth quarter to help Wauseon(10-7) hang on to beat the Blue Devils (3-10).

Matt Shaw led Wauseon with 16 and Jonas Tester added 14.

PIONEER – North Central (10-5) led after each of the first three quarters on their way to a 49-40 non-league win over Delta.

North Central’s Zach Hayes had a game-high 20 points while Delta (6-9) was fronted by Nolan Risner with 17 and Bryce Gillen added 13.

Edgerton 64 Hilltop 54

WEST UNITY – Edgerton (4-13) rode the hot-hand of Nathan Swank who drained eight trifectas and dropped 34 points on the night to lead the Bulldogs to 64-54 win.

Corey Everetts had two makes from deep and finished with 11 points.

Hilltop (2-11), who also connected on ten 3-pointers as a team, were topped by Ian Hoffman with 19 (five 3-pointers) and Carson Jennings had 12.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Edgerton, 33-30

Ayersville 61 Pettisville 38

DEFIANCE – The Pilots (13-3) defense limited Pettisville to just 29% shooting and outrebounded the Blackbirds 31-16 to get a 61-38 win on Homecoming Night.

Pettisville (10-7) was paced by Cayden Jacoby with four buckets and a free throw for nine points.

Springfield Township

EDON – MVCD tallied from a 29-14 halftime to make it a three-point game in the fourth quarter, but Edon (9-6) went 12/24 at the foul line in the final stanza to secure the win.

Drew Gallehue netted 19 points for the Bombers with Caden Nester adding 16, and Cassius Hulbert had six baskets for 12.

Hilltop 49 Evergreen 48

Metamora Chamber

WEST UNITY – Evergreen (11-7) made things interesting in the second half, coming back from a double-digit halftime hole (33-22) before falling 49-48.

Hilltop’s (12-6) Libbie Baker had eight buckets and was 6/10 at the free throw line for a game-high 22 points and Lana Baker had 13.

Bekah Bowser topped Evergreen by hitting five shots from beyond the arc for 15 with Macy Chamberlin and Addison Ricker each adding 11.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Evergreen, 51-12

Liberty-Benton 56 Bryan 53

BRYAN – Addie Arnold caught fire with three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help Bryan (14-4) close the gap before the Eagles were able to escape with a 56-53 win.

Arnold finished with 23 points on the afternoon and Delilah Taylor had 15.

EDON – The Bombers (5-14) built a 24-8 lead at halftime as they beat Edgerton for their second straight win.

Kerrin Towers tallied seven field goals and was 2/3 at the charity stripe for 16 points while Emma Hickman had 11.

Dominique Fort had eight points to lead the Edgerton (2-16) effort.

Montpelier 43 Antwerp 35

ANTWERP –Trailing 17-12 at halftime, Montpelier (16-3) stormed back by outscoring the Archers (11-8) 31-18 in the second half to earn a 43-35 road win.

Coldwell Banker – Jennifer Tarkington

Three players were in double figures for Montpelier led by 14 from Aerial Page, Jada Uribes had 11, and Chelsea McCord added 10.
