(Bryan Resident)

Judith M. Morrison (nee Olsen), age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly a long-time resident of Lockport, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Judy was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church in Lockport for many years and was actively involved in the Junior Miss Softball program as both a manager and coach, helping many young women compete in sports prior to the inception of Title IX. An avid baseball fan, she cheered loudest for the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crafting.

Born on February 3, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Earl P. and M. Evelyn (Chapman) Olsen. Judy graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1957.

She married Dennis J. Morrison on June 17, 1961, in Lockport, and they enjoyed 63 years together. Prior to and during their marriage Judy worked as a secretary, in animal control, and retail jobs all while creating a warm and inviting home for her family.

A loving and supportive mother to her children and her ‘adopted’ kids, her door was always open and she will be missed by all.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Michael J. Morrison. Judy is survived by her husband, Dennis Morrison, of Bryan, OH; daughter, Dr. Michelle Morrison; sister, Barbara Troutman, both of Lockport, IL and numerous cherished family and friends.

In accordance with Judy’s wishes, cremation rites will be afforded. There will be no local visitation or services. She will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.

Krill Funeral Service, located at 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, has been entrusted with her arrangements. To sign the online register or send condolences, please visit www.krillfuneralservice.com.
