TOLEDO: May 09- The Wauseon Lady Indians hit the road on may 9, traveling to Toledo to take on Toledo Start, controlling the game from the outset and pacing their way to a convincing 14-3 victory.
Sam Norman toed the rubber for Wauseon, throwing 5 full innings and giving up just 2 earned runs on the day. Norman also recorded 7 K’s while allowing no walks in the victory.
In the batter’s box for the Lady Indians, Brooke Whipple powered out an over the fence shot, going 2 for 4 from the plate and driving in 3 RBI’s in the win. Faith Hicks went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI’s; Brianna Coblentz had a 3 for 3 day with 2 RBI’s while both Hayley Chamberlain and Ashley Smith drove in 2 RBI’s in Wauseon’s victory.
