Lawrence was a lifelong farmer, and loved to talk about farming, tractors, and anything related to agriculture.  He also served as a trustee of Dover Township for over 20 years.  One of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with family and friends.  He was an active member of St. Caspar Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, where he enjoyed being a regular cook for fish fries and breakfasts.  Lawrence loved his faith and his family.  Besides his wife, he leaves behind 15 children, 39 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Left behind to miss their dad are Louise (Mike) Sarra of Rossford, Lambert (Sue) Dieringer of Wauseon, Linda (Pete) Smith of Mount Vernon, OH, Kathy (Richard) Hunter of Wauseon, Carol (Ben) Rupp of Wauseon, Connie (Brad) Ricker of Wauseon, Diane (Ed) Lee of Toledo, Marlene (Tom) Glanz of Waterville, Rosetta (Rod) Reiser of Wauseon, Bernard (Lisa) Dieringer of Manitou Beach, MI, Bernice (Tom) Kempsey of Apopka, FL, Tim Dieringer of Wauseon, Joe (Brenda) Dieringer of Sylvania,  Peter (Tami) Dieringer of Toledo, and John (Tyler) Dieringer of West Chester, OH.

Also surviving are brothers Andrew (Phyllis) Dieringer of Spring Hill, FL and Raymond (Nancy) Dieringer of Wauseon and sisters Loretta (Don) Laux of Sylvania, Martha (Walter) Sholl of Ayersville, and Mary (Jim) Geck of Holland, OH.   He was preceeded in death by his parents, one grandchild, Alexa Krauss, and one son-in-law, Jeff Krauss.

Visitation for Lawrence will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2015 in the Parish Life Center at St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, also at St. Caspar Catholic Church, with Father Dave Bruning, officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. Caspar Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to St. Caspar Knights of Columbus Christmas Cheer, the National Parkinson Foundation or to Hands of Grace. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
