Gallery 317 in downtown Bryan opened its Christmas Art Show on Friday, November 28, 2025, offering residents a chance to experience a variety of seasonal artwork.

Showcasing art and crafts created by more than 30 local artists from Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan, it had a variety of different styles for onlookers to purchase.

Running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on opening day, the show marks the beginning of what has become a recurring holiday tradition for the local gallery.

This year’s exhibit features a wide blend of styles and mediums, giving visitors an opportunity to browse one-of-a-kind pieces ranging from paintings and fine art prints to handcrafted items.

Several large pieces had beautifully painted impressionist art of nature, while more modern pop-art looks were available as well.

Some noteworthy pieces included “The Vow” by Dave Schumm, “September View Park” by Jennifer Saunders, “Shadowed Walk” by Ruth Matthews, and “Here, Fishy Fishy” by Mindy Bernes. The artists used different techniques such as oil, soft pastel, and acrylic.

Master photographers listed some of their best work for purchase, such as Mitch Wiebell offering a four-piece collection with incredibly up-close insect and small-animal captures.

The gallery emphasizes the appeal of gifting locally made art for the holidays. The Christmas Art Show aims to make that experience accessible to the entire community; admission is free, and visitors are welcome to stop in during regular gallery hours to explore the exhibit further.

Gallery 317 is located at 317 West Butler Street in Bryan. The gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with weekend hours available. The Christmas Art Show will remain available for viewing during these hours throughout the season.
