Local Dentist To Buy Children’s Halloween Candy To Support Troops

October 23, 2024Updated:October 24, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

Napoleon, Ohio – October 23, 2024 – Dental Excellence Group is offering local trick-or-treaters a chance to swap candy for cash while supporting U.S. troops serving overseas.

From now through Thursday, November 7th, children can bring their unopened Halloween candy to any Dental Excellence office for the opportunity to earn one dollar per pound of candy, up to $10. Participating office locations include Sylvania, Napoleon, and Delta.

All collected candy will be donated and shipped in care packages to U.S. troops serving overseas. Last year’s event saw over 300 pounds of candy collected and donated.

In addition to candy, the offices are also accepting additional care package items such as individual snack packs, socks, hygiene products, and letters of appreciation.

“We’re thrilled to offer a fun way for kids to enjoy Halloween while giving back to our troops,” says Dr. Michael Carpenter, Founder and CEO of Dental Excellence Group.

“It’s a win-win for everyone involved – healthier smiles for children and a morale boost for our brave service members.” To make the experience even more exciting, Dental Excellence will host a Candy Buyback Party at the Napoleon location at 875 Westmoreland Avenue on Tuesday, November 5th from 6-7 PM.

This party will feature games, prizes, and snacks, creating a fun atmosphere for families as they drop off their candy donations.

Dental Excellence is also encouraging local schools to get involved in the program. The school whose students drop off the most candy will receive a $100 prize.

Dental Excellence is a general and family dental practice offering advanced services including pediatric, cosmetic, and sedation dentistry. For more information on the candy buyback program or Dental Excellence, visit their website at happy-dentistry.com.
