The annual Fulton County Spelling Bee was held on February 4th in a room packed with over 200 individuals listening to Archbold Elementary principal Dorothy Lambert call out words such as tapioca, corgi and fallacy.

The Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center (NwOESC) in Archbold served as the host site for the event. Thirty-eight students from Archbold, Evergreen, Fayette, Pike-Delta-York, Pettisville, Evergreen, Swanton, Wauseon Exempted and Holy Trinity Catholic schools competed.

The overall school building winners from grades four through eight competed at the county event with the hope of advancing to the regional bee in Toledo.
