Ironwood Golf Course served as the backdrop for a showdown between Montpelier and Pettisville on August 25. Despite having the best individual performer on the day amongst their number, the Blackbirds couldn’t match the Locomotives’ team performance, as Montpelier took the competition 185-220.
Hunter Shaull and Andrew Luke served as co-leaders of the Locos endeavor, each shooting a 44. Sam Bings nipped at their heels, scoring a 46. Rounding out Montpelier’s score was Austin Schudel, who himself fired a 51.
Pettisville’s Evan King took medalist honors for the event, swinging his way to a 43. Matt Krill contributed a 49 to the Blackbirds’ score. Hannah Meller shot a 60, and Andrew Canada a 68 to complete Pettisville’s scoring.
