Marilyn Bouman (1934-2019)

Marilyn Joan Bouman, age 84, of rural Bryan, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Toledo Hospital. Prior to her retirement she had worked for the Aro Corporation in Bryan for over 40 years.

Marilyn was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 5, 1934, the daughter of Raymond and Veril (Bloom) Whitlock on March 14, 1959, she married James Bouman, and he survives. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan where she played for the church orchestra. She also played with the Bryan City Band and the Top of Ohio Dulcimers.

Surviving besides her husband Jim, are two daughters, Denise (Rex) Blevins of Stryker and Dawn (Gordon) Rhoades of Whitehouse; three grandsons, Bryan Stuckey, Aaron Zehr and Taylor Zehr; and one great-grandson, Jack Zehr. She is also survived by brothers, Norman (Judy) Whitlock of Stryker, Merril (Carol) Whitlock of Bryan, Dave (Chris) Whitlock of West Unity, Marlin (Karen) Whitlock of West Unity, Richard (Lisa) Whitlock of Stryker, Stanley (Sheila) Whitlock of Stryker, Neal (Rhonda) Whitlock of Dallas, TX; and sisters, Elaine Jaggers of Stryker, and Ruthann (Tracy) Hammond of Hamilton, MI. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susie Zehr and sister, Irene Whitlock.

Visitation for Marilyn will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker, followed by a graveside funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at the Boynton Cemetery, with Rex Blevins, officiating.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Wesley United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
