Mary L. Reeves

Mary L. Reeves, 85 years, of Bryan, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, Bryan.  Mary was born January 31, 1930 in Glouster, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Nina Adeline (Braley) Reeves. She was a 1948 graduate of Deavertown High School. Mary was a Dietary Aide for the former Tucson General Hospital, in Tucson, Arizona for 10 years, retiring in 1985.  After her retirement, Mary provided care to several families, whatever their needs might be.  She was a member of the Bryan Alliance Church, where she taught Sunday School and was active in working with the youth group. She was also a member of the Mothers of World War II organization.  While living in Tucson, Mary volunteered her time with the school for the Deaf, Dumb, and Blind. She enjoyed reading a good book as well as traveling.

She is survived by one brother, Harvey V. (Janet) Reeves of Midland, Michigan and one sister, Sharon K. (Vernon) Yant of Bay city, Michigan.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Brunton and Floss “Irene” Harris and one brother, Robert Reeves.

Visitation for Mary L. Reeves will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.  Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 in the funeral home with Pastor Fred Brandon officiating.  Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, rural Bryan.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations to Community Health Professional Hospice, 127 Blakeslee Avenue, Bryan, Ohio 43506 or to the Bryan Alliance Church, 220 West Fountain Grove Drive, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
