Montpelier Girls And Boys Take Tri-Meet Against Hilltop And Edon

August 28th-MONTPELIER: Eight boys and six girls competed in a tri-meet between home team Montpelier, Edon, and Hilltop. The Locomotives claimed victory in both heats.

For the girls, The Lady Locos took the top three places. Lydia Grime was first overall to finish, running a 14:11. Teammate Brinn Miller wasn’t too far behind at 14:20, good for second place. Gabby Cox took third place with a time of 14:49.

A pair of Edon Girls took fourth and fifth place. Wendy finished less than a second behind the Locos’ Cox at 14:49. Nadia crossed the finish line four seconds later for the Bombers, clocking in at 14:53.

The Montpelier boys had two finishers in the top four of their heat. Matthew McClaine claimed victory with a time of 12:05. Gage Crisenbery handed the Locomotives a fourth place finish, at 13:54.

The lone Cadet in the race, Blue Repp earned second place by running a 13:08.


For the Bombers, Clayton finished third thanks to a time of 13:47.
