The Montpelier Area Chamber of Commerce met on September 11, 2015. In committee reports, the repaving of Main St. from Monroe to Platt St. in the Spring of 2016 was discussed as well as the last phase of replacing the parking lot at the Police Station. The Airport Substation and Sewage Separation tasks have also been completed. In Community Affairs, Gloria Osborn’s Painting Class on September 29th were to be painting on slate tiles that had come off of the Town Hall Building. Pastor Dave Tilly thanked Parks and Rec for the children’s summer meal program, finishing the picnic shelter, and the future plan of a Spring Picnic to celebrate it.

No Old Business was brought up. In New Business, Martin Sostoi Law Offices was welcomed back to the 2015 membership. Ideas were bought up by Chris Kannel about the current building which is in need of repairs which will be costly. Jason Luke is going to look into this matter. Kevin Motter was welcomed as he will be filling an empty seat on the Board for the next 2 years. Jeanette Hull’s resignation was accepted effective August 20, 2015. Tashia Thompson will be filling the position as President and Jenni Koch will be filling the Financial Advisor position.

A moment of silence was held in remembrance of the Lives lost on 9/11. The meeting was then adjourned.
