Montpelier Women Of The Moose Donates At Christmastime Locally

HPIM1746-WEBMontpelier Chapter No. 270, Women of the Moose, recently presented donations at Christmastime to benefit local projects. Contributions included a $100 donation to See & Do Club, one dozen Tommy Moose dolls to the Montpelier Police Department, and a $300 donation for Operation Santa Claus for five local families needing assistance during the Christmas season. Pictured from left to right are John Widmer, seated, manager for See & Do Club’s food pantry and thrift shop; standing, Bob Gearig, Montpelier Moose administrator, for Operation Santa Claus; Melinda Evers, WOTM Secretary/Treasurer; Montpelier Police Sgt. Stormy Doctor, and Reynalda McKinney, WOTM Recorder. Behind them is the angel tree with tags for toys and clothing items for the children of the five families for Operation Santa Claus. The Tommy Moose community service program provides local law enforcement and emergency services personnel with Tommy Moose dolls to be given to children involved in traumatic circumstances. Montpelier Moose Lodge #312 and Chapter #270 will host the annual Moose Kids Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 19th at 2:00 p.m. when Santa will greet the children and listen to Christmas wishes.
