NEW AD … The guest speaker at the Kiwanis Club of Bryan’s weekly meeting on June 24, 2026, was the recently appointed athletic director for the Bryan School District, Jason Brown. Brown has been in the Bryan School System for 29 years as an integrated science teacher. He has served in the athletic program in various capacities over the years. His goal is to create a new culture in the athletic arena with an emphasis on a student-first culture, with a motto that states, “Culture Matters, Relations Matter and One Town, One Team.” He pointed out that the Bryan Schools participate in 24 sports during the school year. During the 2025-2026 school year, athletes at Bryan had an aggregate grade point average of 3.29 out of a possible 4.0. Eight new student athletes were added to the school’s “Wall of Fame” this year, bringing the total to 158. To get this honor, the student athlete has to achieve an “All-Ohio” selection in their sport. Brown’s vision for the athletic department is to establish a sustainable system where our youth programs, school sports, and community networks operate as one unified machine.
