DELTA – In a battle between a pair of volleyball squads seeking their first Northwest Ohio Athletic League victory of the season, Delta emerged with a hard-fought 25-22, 18-25, 19-25, 25-17, 15-11 decision over Bryan.

Claire Bates registered 12 kills for Delta while Ellie Martinez tallied 23 assists and added 10 digs.

Bryan senior Clare Stever achieved a special milestone in the league match when she recorded her 1,000th career dig.

Gezzy Kidston led the Bears (6-14, 0-6 NWOAL) with 17 digs and 10 kills while Nora Kunsman tallied 12 kills, and Ava Neubig recorded 11 kills.
