Edgerton, Ohio—Construction of Oak Street Sidewalk Improvement Project is tentatively slated to begin Wednesday, September 21.
Earlier this year, the Village of Edgerton contracted through the Williams County Commissioners with Ward Construction Co., Leipsic, Ohio to improve the pedestrian infrastructure in the neighborhood.
The project consists of the installation of 6,400 SF of 5’ sidewalks and 5 ADA compliant curb ramps on North Oak Street from Gerhart Street to East River Street on both the East and West sides of Oak Street.
The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of September. The Village received funding to complete the project from the Community Block Grant (CDBG) of 46% of the project cost.
Work will occur within the public right-of-way. As a result, temporary traffic delays and temporary lane closures are possible in the project area.
Traffic control will be maintained during peak project work hours. Please use caution in the work zone and obey temporary traffic patterns. Travelers are encouraged to seek alternate routes during project work hours.
Ward Construction Co. will endeavor to keep area residences accessible throughout the project. The contractor will perform work between 7:00 AM (M – F) and 5:00 PM.
If you are within the active work zone limits and park your car in the right of way at night, please be sure to move it prior to the 7:00 AM start time.
