At approximately 4:56 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9th the Paulding Police Department was called to 199 W. Perry Street, Apartment C, Paulding, Ohio due to a discovered body.  Agents from the Ohio Bureaus of Criminal Investigations began immediately working with local authorities on the case, keeping the identification secret while family members were notified.

In a press release, “County Prosecutor Joseph Burkard confirmed that only one person was found dead, not two as rumors indicated. No one is in custody at present, Burkard said. He acknowledged that authorities are looking at a ‘couple of persons of interest,’ but declined to divulge any details at this point.”
On Thursday morning, authorities released the identification as 21 year old Hannah Fischer, a 2013 Montpelier High School graduate.

According to The Village Reporter’s 2013 Graduation Tribute,  “Hannah Elizabeth Fischer is the daughter of Lori Wheeler and Shannon Fischer. Her plans are to attend Northwest State Community College for Human Services. Her favorite memory is showing the senior citizens around the fairgrounds for student council.  She was a member of Student Council, Volleyball, Track and Spanish Club.”

The case is currently under investigation and little other information is being released by investigators at this time.
