STRYKER: April 14– The Stryker Lady Panthers played host to North Central on a cold and blustery day at the Stryker Athletic Complex on April 14 for a BBC showdown with the Lady Eagles. It took extra innings to decide the game, but in the bottom of the 8th inning, Tasha Pegorch stepped up to the plate and connected for a 2 run shot over the fence to lift the Lady Panthers to a 9-8 home victory.

Conner Varner went the distance on the mound for Stryker, allowing 8 runs off of 8 hits. Varner also fanned 14 batters in the game, while walking only 4 in the contest. For North Central, Makayla Hayes went the distance, giving up 9 runs while setting down 5 Panther batters.

Offensively for the Lady Panthers, Pegorch hit for 2; blasting the game winner and also hitting for a single. Varner also had a hot bat, hitting for a single and two doubles in the game; Conner Sullivan also hit for a double, while teammate Megan Neville connected for two singles. Sierra Walters hit for a single and a double; Taylor Haines rounded out the offensive on the afternoon for Stryker.

For the Lady Eagles, Abbey Litzenberg connected for a single and a double; Alyssa Swank had two hits, also with a single and a double while Tristin Tomblin made contact for a double. Sabrina Pickford, Rachael Oxender and Chyna Haskell each connected for singles in the loss for North Central.
