(September 11th, 2014)-PETTISVILLE: In straight sets, the home team of Pettisville was able to defeat the visiting Lady Eagles of Fayette on Thursday.

Game 1, like most of the match, was dominated by Dana Fricke and Jordyn Pursel. With their leadership, the Lady Blackbirds won the set 25-11. The second game went much the same way, and the results reflected that as, again, Pettisville took the set 25-11. The girls of Fayette attempted to mount a come back, but were overwhelmed by the Blackbirds, and they lost game 3 14-25.

Fricke had a monstrous evening, throwing down 18 kills to go along with her 3 digs and 2 blocks. Pursel recorded 13 kills, also making 8 digs and 3 aces. Teammate Kate Kauffman set things up for the Lady Blackbirds, serving up 25 assists in addition to her 7 digs, 3 aces, and 2 kills. Stephanie Hubby had 25 digs and 1 kill in the victory as well.
