PETTISVILLE – The Pettisville Lady Blackbirds did their part in staying in the running for a piece of the BBC crown by jumping out to an early lead and riding their defense to a 42-29 BBC win over Hilltop on February 7.
Dana Fricke led all scorers with 15 for the 12-8/7-2 Ladybirds, with Lauren Hostetler adding 14 points and Audra Klopfenstein 5. Mikala Avina fired off 4 points, and Kate Kauffman and Jordyn Pursel each added 2 points for Pettisville.
Hannah Bleikamp led the Lady Cadets with 12 points, with Emily Armbruster hitting for 9 points, Jackie Smith 4, and Kailey Creamer and LeAnn Joost each getting a deuce.
