(October 2nd 2014)-PIONEER: Swooping into Pioneer in search of a win, the Lady Blackbirds found their quarry in the North Central gymnasium. Eager to defend their nest, the Junior Varsity girls of North Central gave a valiant effort, but came up short against their fellow avian team.
Setting the tone of the match early on, the visitors from Pettisville took control in game 1. They took down the Lady Eagles 25-14. Behind in the match, North Central attempted to battle back in game 2, but again struggled to keep pace with the Blackbirds, dropping the second set 15-25.
Ascending from Pioneer with a victory in their clutches, the Blackbirds set course for Pettisville.
