(September 30th, 2014)-FAYETTE: Swooping into enemy territory, the Lady Blackbirds of Pettisville was able to grasp victory within their collective claws.
Hosting the Blackbirds, the Fayette Junior Varsity girls knew they had a challenge on their hands. They were unable to defend their home court, however, losing to their guests in straight sets.
Getting off to a slow start, the Lady Eagles never quite made a full recovery in game 1, dropping the set 15-25. Fighting an uphill battle to get back into the match and force a third game, Fayette fell short in game 2 25-17.
The victory moves the Pettisville Junior Varsity record to 10-8, improving to 4-3 in the Buckeye Border Conference.
