(September 25th, 2014)-PETTISVILLE: Hosting the Stryker Lady Panthers, the Blackbirds of Pettisville were ready to defend their home court. They did just that, and in convincing fashion.
The first game saw Pettisville establish control of the match with a 25-9 win. Battling back, Stryker attempted to get back into the match. They fell short, however, losing 16-25. Game 3 went similarly, with Pettisville taking the set and the match 25-17.
Kate Kauffman set thing up for the Blackbirds with 15 assists to go along with 3 kills. Jordyn Pursel made 13 kills, 7 digs, and an ace. Stephanie Hubby defended the floor with 15 digs, as well as an ace and a kill.
Brooklyn Whitlock made 3 aces for the Panthers. Teammate Maddie Uribes had a balanced evening with 2 kills, 2 blocks, and an assist. Audra Rupp had 4 kills and 2 blocks in the losing effort.
