Pioneer’s Logan Keesecker Killed In Sunday Afternoon Accident

Labor Day Weekend proved deadly in Williams County as shortly before noon today 26-year-old Logan Keesecker of Pioneer was fatally injured in a dirt bike / Ford F150 Pickup Truck accident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol stated the accident occurred on County Road 12 and the cross intersection of County Road Q, two miles west of Pioneer, Ohio. 

A 1992 Suzuki Dirt Bike driven by Keesecker was northbound on County Road 12 while a 2013 Ford F150 driven by Marshall Davis, 62, of Browntown, Michigan was heading west on County Road Q.  Davis stopped at the intersection’s stop sign then pulled in front of Keesecker, striking the bike on the side.

Keesecker was taken to the Montpelier Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  The Ohio State Patrol stated Keesecker was wearing a helmet.  Davis who was wearing a seatbelt was not injured in the crash.  The accident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by the Williams County Prosecutor’s Office, Williams County Coroner’s Office, Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Pioneer Fire Department and Williams County EMS.
