Williams County Sheriff, Steven M,. Towns, announced that arrests for individuals who were indicted by the Williams County Grand Jury were made on August 20, 2015. The charges stem from a 6 month undercover drug investigation conducted by the Multi Area Narcotics Task Force. The Williams County Prosecutor, Katie Zartman’s Office presented the cases to the Grand Jury. The Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan Police Department, along with multiple local law enforcement agencies began the arrests with the following persons being taken into custody:

Dustin R. VanAuken, 31, Stryker, OH – Possession of Heroin.
Chrissie M. Hinton, 49, Aggravated Possession of Drugs.
Durring the arrests, Deputies located a Methamphetamine lab at 214 N Emmett St, Bryan, OH. Agents of the MAN Unit dismantled and neutralized the lab. Bryan City Police and Bryan City Fire Department assisted at the scene. The occupants of the residence were Christa Davis and Slade Cupp, who were arrested at the scene.
The Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan Police Department, and the MAN Unit were assisted by the Montpelier Police Department, Pioneer Police Department, Stryker Police Department, Williams County Job and Family Services Child Protection Unit, Williams County Dog Warden, Williams County EMS, Williams County Central Communications, Williams County Prosecutors Office, and the Williams County Commissioners Office.

FULTON COUNTY PROSECUTOR
A Swanton woman was sentenced on August 21, 2015, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Briana Siler, 19, of 232 N. Main St, previously pled guilty to Theft from a Person in a Protected Class. On May 28, 2015, she stole a laptop from an elderly person. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Ms. Siler to 3 years of community control and ordered her to pay prosecution costs, successfully complete drug treatment at Devlac Hall, pay restitution of $109, stay out or bars/taverns, not possess or consume alcohol, serve 40 days in CCNO with credit for 40 days already served, seek and maintain employment, and obtain her GED. Failure to comply could result in Ms. Siler spending 11 months in prison.

FULTON COUNTY Sheriff’s office
Sheriff Roy E. Miller announces that the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a High Visibility Traffic Blitz on August 14th. Deputies who worked this Blitz made 15 traffic stops and issued 8 citations. The citations issued were for speed (5), driving under suspension, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia. Deputies also issued 11 warnings during the blitz. The High Visibility Traffic Blitzes are paid for from a grant that the Sheriff’s Office received from the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
Sheriff Roy E. Miller announces that the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a High Visibility Traffic Blitz in conjunction with the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. The Blitz started on August 21st and will run through September 7th. Deputies will be working various hours and locations around Fulton County and they will be looking for impaired drivers and other traffic violations associated with impaired driving.
Sheriff Miller and his deputies are dedicated to protecting the citizens of Fulton County and the motorists who travel its highways. These Blitzes are being funded from a grant that was awarded to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office from the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The grant allows for extra patrol to enforce traffic laws that will increase the safety of motorists on the roadway in areas that are prone to a higher number of serious and fatal crashes.
Roy Miller, Fulton County Sheriff, announced that the Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office recently presented multiple cases to the Fulton County Grand Jury. The cases involved an 18 month undercover operation by the Multi Area Narcotics Task Force.
