Monday, September 19 Scoring Summaries

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL

Ayersville defeated Delta in three sets with scores of 15-16, 24-26, 25-22. Leading the Panthers were: Kinsey Finnen with 17 kills, one block, 17 digs and two aces.  Also contributing for Delta included: Abby Freeman, two kills, one block, 12 assists and six digs; Emily Clifton 16 digs, one ace and three kills and Mary Miller six kills and three digs.

Antwerp defeated Fayette in three sets with scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-13.  No game stats received.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL

North Central’s 7th grade team defeated Hicksville 25-12 and 25-10. They are currently 8-1 on the season. The Eagles 8th grade squad also collected a win defeating Hicksville in three sets 25-12, 19-25, and 25-18.  Their record is now 4-5.


BOYS VARSITY SOCCER

Pettisville – 3, Swanton 1

The Blackbirds three goals game from Detric Yoder, Connor Wyse and  Canidate Vickery. Riley Hensley scored Swanton’s lone goal. Pettisville took 10 shots on goal while the Bulldogs had 15.

Archbold 7, Miller City 0

The Bluestreaks stayed upbeaten in nine trys with the shutout win. Josh Kidder scored a hat trick in the win while Jared Kidder, Kaiden Bedsole, Austin Welch and Clay Gerig also contributed with goals.  All but one of the Archbold goals came in the first half to put the game away early.


JUNIOR HIGH SOCCER

Pettisville 9, Emmanuel Christian 1

The young Blackbirds improved their record to 3-2-0 with a solid win.  Pettisville had six different scorers. Bryce Beltz, Jay-R Allison, Ben Morris, and Blake Eyer each netted one for their team, and Isaac Cisneros added two. AJ Hulbert recorded a hat trick, finishing off three good assists from Ben Morris, Bryce Beltz, and Blake Eyer (who also had another assist).

VARSITY GOLF

Bryan 174, Patrick Henry 193


Case Hartman was the medalist for the Golden Bears with a 41 as they were winner in the NWOAL dual match. Owen Beaver added a 42, Connor Shirkey 45, Peyton Lamberson 46, Conner Lemons 50 and Zhane Cupp 52 to help Bryan to the win.

Archbold 161, Liberty Center 185, Wauseon 198

The Bluestreaks ran away with the NWOAL tri-match win. Ian Radabaugh led the way as the match medalist with a round of 38 for Archbold.  Other Bluestreak scores were: Brandon Miller (39), Trevor Rupp (41), Mitch Grosjean (43), Kreighton Sims (44), Cade Kern (45). Wauseon’s low score was turned in by CJ Moser with a 41. Eric Parker added a 48, Trent Armstrong (51), Caleb Leu (58) and Logan Blackman (64).

Antwerp 179, Hilltop 181

Antwerp squeaked by the Cadets in non-conference play. Jay Garrett was low man for Hilltop with a round of 43. Right behind was Skyler Butterfield’s 44. Jestin Maddox and Andrew Denton had matching 47s, Steven Riley finished with a 51 and Zakk Horton 81.

Delta 191, Evergreen 191, Swanton 192

The Panthers came away with the NWOAL tri-match victory with their sixth score produced by Chris Brick with a 57.  Drew Mattin led Delta with a round of 45 along with: Jay Vann (47), Brady Wymner (51), Chase Sandusky (54) and Cole Mattin (55). The Vikings’ Evan Conrad carded a 45 to lead Evergreen. Also finishing were: Travis Mersing (47), Kaleb Lumbrezer (49), Zach Lumbreser (50), Noah Kreuz (55) and Nick Hudik (58). Swanton was just one shot back in the close match. Swanton produced the matches’ medalist with a round of 39 by Austin Lace. Other Bulldog scores included: Carter Swank (47), Brady Lemons (51), Randy Slink (55), Raymond Schad (58).

Stryker 156, Fairview 172, Montpelier 203

Stryker used the strength of Hayden Clingaman”s medalist round of 34 to win the non-conference tri-match. The Panthers other scores included: Austin Frisbie (39), Abe Montague (41), Aaron Sidle (42) and Colin Anders (54). The Locomotives low score of 49 was turned in by Braden Saneholtz. Matching scores of 51 was shared by Aaron Stoy and Tyler Rupp. Montpelier’s other scores included: Roman Sommer (52), Garrett Witte (53), Brock O’Neal (53).

VARSITY TENNIS

Fremont St, Joe 4, Archbold 1

The Bluestreaks got their only victory in the First Doubles match where Darby Stevens and Isabel Krieger were 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 winners. Caroline Kinsman was defeated in First Singles 6-3, 6-2. Belle Clark fell in Second Singles 6-0, 6-1 and Itsy Gaona was defeated in Third Singles 6-0 and 6-2. Archbold’s Second Doubles team, Morgan Perry and Amanda Payne were defeated 6-1, 5-7,10-4.
