GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Delta 56, Fayette 42
The Eagles put forth a good effort but remained winless in 10 games with the New Year’s Eve loss to Delta. The Panthers, improving to 7-2, used a 14-2 first quarter to propel them to the non-league win. Maddie Mattimore connected for 21 points to lead the Panthers while Freeman added 14 points in the win. Rhys Ruger and Mataya Rufenacht, both sophomores finished in double figures for Fayette with 11 and 10 points respectively.
