Tuesday, December 13 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Hicksville 55, Bryan 47

The Golden Bears held a 26-20 advantage at the half, but the Aces outscored Bryan 35-21 in the second half for the win. Zhane Cupp led the Golden Bears with 15 points and Jaden Valderas added 12 points.

 

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Edon 41, Fayette 34

The Bombers held a sox point lead at the break maintaining the rest of the way for the BBC win. Karissa Sonneberger and Hanna Fogel led Edon with 13 and 11 points respectively.  Fayette’s Kaitlin Brubaker scored six of her team’s high of 10 points during the final quarter.

 

Stryker 40, Pettisville 35

The Panthers improved to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the BBC with the five-point win over the Blackbirds. Brittney Haines, with one three-point shot during each quarter, led Stryker with 14 points. Taylor Haines connected on five of seven foul shots during fourth quarter action as she added 11 points for the winners. Brandi Schnitkey led Pettisville with 10-points including three two-point shots and a perfect four of four from the foul line.

 

North Central 29, Montpelier 24

Airmate

The Eagles came back from a 16-14 first half outscoring the Locomotives 15-8 in the second to claim the BBC win. Makayla Hayes was the Eagles leading scorer with 10 points. She hit a shot from three-point range in the third quarter and added four points in the final quarter to fuel the Eagles win. Marley Eich and Mckenna Quaderer scored five points apiece to lead Montpelier.

 

Delta 61, Hilltop 18

The Panthers won the non-league contest as the Cadet offense struggled. The Delta advantage was 22-6 after one quarter and 45-8 at the break. Maddie Mattimore led Delta with 14 points while Abby Freeman and Mary Miller finished with 13 and 12 respectively. Johnnie Roth scored nine of Hilltop’s points to lead the Cadets.

GIRLS JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL

North Central 31, Montpelier 24

The Eagles used a 15-4 run during second quarter action to propel them to the victory. North Central was led by Lindsay Brown’s 11 points while Tory Steffes led the Locomotives with eight points.

The Panthers were held to seven second half points as the Blackbirds took advantage scoring 21 points down the stretch for the win. Pettisville improved its record to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the BBC. Joel Flory led Pettisville with 15 points and Isaac Reynolds added 10 points.

Wauseon 41, Stryker 31

8th grade – The Indians built an 18-2 lead in the opening quarter on way to the 10-point victory. Wauseon was led by Conner Penrod with 19 points and Isaac Wilson with 10 points.  Stryker had nine points apiece by Brandon Bowers and Kaleb Holsopple.

 

North Central 45, Edgerton 8

7th grade – The Eagles were led by Madison Brown’s 16-point effort while Lauren Balser added 12 points. Grace Schroeder was Edgerton’s leading scorer with six points.

8th grade – The Eagles were led in scoring Madison Brown with 10 points and Maizie Zimmerman with nine points.

7th grade – The Indians were led by Marissa Seiler with 10 points. Scoring the game’s only basket for the Panthers was Mallori Blevins.

Wauseon 21, Stryker 4

8th grade – Wauseon finished with four players in the scorebook led by Macee Stang with 12 points. Kinsey Myers scored all four of the Panthers points.

 

North Central 27, Montpelier 15

7th grade – North Central was led by Madison Brown 16 and Lauren Balser seven. C. McCord led Montpelier finishing with seven points.

8th grade Montpelier was led by A. Repp’s 16 points. The Eagles had three points apiece by Jazmine Hendricks and Kristen Hickmen.
