EDON – The Edon Lady Bombers have been trying to find the right combination to finally break into the BBC win column for the 2012-13 season. On February 7, it looked like they finally found it.
Sydney Stoll put in 11 points, Andrea Headley fired off a quartet of threes and Alex Kiess added a trio of her own, but the Lady Panthers replied with five treys and a game-high 17 from Connor Sullivan to suppress the Lady Bombers by a 46-43 score.
Edon held the lead throughout the first half, but a 16-9 Stryker run in the third reversed the fortunes for the hometown girls. An 11-8 fourth failed to make up the difference, giving Stryker the win.
Backing Sullivan for Stryker was Conner Varner with 10 points and Maddie Uribes with 7. Christie Huston had 5 points, Emily Rupp 4 and Michaela Rupp 3 points.
Headley finished with 16 points for the Belles in Bomber Blue, while Stoll had 11. Kiess finished with 9 points, Kaitlin Chrisman had 5 points, and Hannah Brehm-Gutting had a deuce.
