Stryker Library’s Book Club Makes Selections For 2016

“Over Readers Anonymous Book Discussion Group,” at the Stryker Branch Library, meets in the library at 6:30 pm on a designated night each month. Why not make plans now to join in during the upcoming year? If you love to read and discuss books, you are invited to come and participate and be a part of the group. Copies of the next book to be discussed are waiting at the library desk for anyone wishing to be a part of the club. Book selections have been chosen for 2016 and are as follows:

January 25: Hissing Cousins: the untold story of Eleanor Roosevelt and Alice Roosevelt Longsworth by Marc Peyser and Timothy Dwyer

February 29: Shrapnel in the Heart: letters and remembrance from the Vietnam Memorial by Laura Palmer

March 28: The Silver Star by Jeannette Walls

April 25: The Silent Sister by Diane Chamberlain

May 23: In My Hands: Memories of a Holocaust Rescuer by Irene Gut Opdycke

June 27: Best Boy by Eli Gottlieb

July 25: When Books Went to War by Molly Guptill Manning

August 22: Any Agatha Christie Mystery

September 26: Banned Book Month – Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

October 24: I Will Always Write Back by Caitlin Alifirenka and Martin Ganda

November 14: Women Heroes of World War II by Kathryn Atwood

December 12: Keeping Christmas by Dan Walsh
