Superior Township Trustees met in a regular session on Tuesday, April 21.
Chairman Mike Trausch called the meeting to order with trustees Dan Gillen and Jake Borton in attendance. Also present were Road Supervisor Cody Boyd and Fiscal Officer Vanessa Shepard.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance, Shepard read the minutes of the April 7, 2026, meeting, and Gillen moved to approve the minutes with correction.

OLD BUSINESS
Trustees decided to schedule 3.37 miles of chip and seal for this summer. They also reported Creek Boulevard sustained damage over the winter and will need spot paving.
The trustees reviewed upcoming roadway maintenance needs for 2026. Ron Buda will be emailed with an updated spot paving and chip and seal list for the summer.
Additionally, Trausch was in contact with Pat Manahan to get an estimate for roof coating.
NEW BUSINESS
A community member approached the trustees with interest in setting up a dedicated Eagle Creek Trust Fund.
The purpose of this fund would be foundation repair work associated with the Eagle Creek Cemetery. More information will be presented as it becomes available.
Boyd presented for consideration a triangle toolbox for trailer tongue and a steel rack for storage. Trustees will investigate what is available. No decision was made at this time.
It was reported that the outrigger on the backhoe is still not holding properly. Boyd will monitor during upcoming use and determine whether further repair is needed. No decision was made at this time.
Trustees had a video conference call with Text MyGov to see if it would be a useful tool for the township.
After reviewing the information, the trustees decided it is not a service the township is interested in pursuing at this time.
Shepard then presented the April financial statements, followed by the payment of the bills, which were approved by the trustees. The next meeting is Tuesday, May 12, at 3:30 p.m.
