VARSITY SOFTBALL: Edgerton Storms To 15-2 Victory Over Edon

ROUTE 49 RIVALS … Edgerton’s Corinne Cape unloads a pitch in a non-league game at Edon. Cape went the distance with seven strikeouts and was 4-5 at the dish with four RBIs.

BOMBER INFIELDER … Edon shortstop Neveah Smith throws to first base for the out. Smith accounted for two of the three Edon hits and drove in both Edon runs.


Edgerton 15, Edon 2 (6 innings)

EDON – Edgerton used six hits for a seven-run sixth inning to close out a mercy rule win over their Rt. 49 rivals.

Corinne Cape tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts for the win while going 4-5 at the plate and drove in four runs. Neveah Smith singled twice and knocked in both Bomber runs in the loss.
