The Fulton County Junior High Quiz Tournament recently brought together more than 70 students from across the county to the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center in Archbold.
Held on March 3, 2026, students in grades six through eight participated in both junior varsity and varsity double-elimination rounds, representing schools from Archbold, Evergreen, Pettisville, Delta, Swanton, and Wauseon.
At the end of the competition, Wauseon Middle School claimed the varsity championship.
The team remained undefeated through its rounds and ultimately secured the title with a 17-14 victory over Pettisville in the final match.
Wauseon also earned the junior varsity championship, defeating Delta in an extra final round that was shortened due to time constraints.

The winning junior varsity team from Wauseon Middle School included Harvey Green, Meet Patel, Malcolm Custer, Braylen Hood, Brystol Stiriz, Elowyn Custer, LJ Ankney, and Dexter Blonstein.
Students from the winning teams received medals for their performance, while the Wauseon varsity team also took home the traveling trophy to display at the school for the upcoming year.
