Sweet Delights Café in Wauseon held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony during the morning hours of Friday, May 26th, 2023.

The new restaurant is located at 209 North Fulton Street, which is the former home of the Essen Haus Café.

Sweet Delights is a new business and is not affiliated with the previous business that was located in the building.

Sweet Delights Café is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They offer small breakfast and lunch options with all of the food being “homecooked”.

A salad bar option is also available as well as baked goods, bagels, donuts, muffins and more.

Some of the other menu items available include sandwiches and wraps, soups, hot entrees like meatloaf, lasagna, chicken alfredo and more.

Owner Michael Sweet explained that he is excited to begin this new adventure. “I am nervous but also excited. I am wanting to serve the community and I love to cook so this is a win win.”

“I also love to be a business owner and interact with the public. We have some exciting things planned for our future.”

Sweet Delights is now open and waiting to serve you. There is a new phone number that can be used to reach the store for things like catering. That number is 419-404-9044.
