The Williams County Commissioners met on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, to conduct routine business and enter into an executive session.
In attendance were Commissioner President Scott Lirot and Bart Westfall. The payment of bills was approved alongside transfer appropriations for county departments.
The Commissioners entered a service estimate agreement with Integrated Corporate Health, LLC, for on-site biometric screenings for county employees.
An executive session was entered at 10:30 a.m. with Williams County Prosecutor Katherine Zartman, Assistant Prosecutor Emil Gravelle III, Williams County JFS Director Christie Roan, and COC Supervisor Bayli Louys-Geiser regarding pending or imminent court action.
Two resolutions were then approved directly after the executive session ended. Williams County JFS was approved to employ counsel licensed in Michigan to represent JFS in “this specific Michigan Case,” the resolution reads.
Compensation for counsel was approved to be paid out of the county general fund and will not exceed the total annual compensation of the current county prosecutor.
The second resolution approved a new supplemental appropriation line on behalf of JFS. A supplemental appropriation of $150,000 was moved for JFS to address a “shortage in 2026 Fund Account.” No further information was provided at this time.
