After a half hour recess, the Commissioners reconvened to meet with county engineer Todd Roth and Drainage Engineer Brian Fritsch to talk about ditch collections for 2023.

Fritsch spoke about the proposed collections for 2023, which he had presented to the Commissioners, along with the past years’ collections from 2020, 21 and 22.

He made a comparison of those, along with the current balance as of July 1st of 2022 for each ditch and tile that his department maintains within the county.

He explained that some of the amounts are higher due to planned work on particular ditches or tiles in 2023.

He also said they will be spraying the north half of the county in 2023. Proposed collections for next year are down $32,000 from last year, comparable to 2021 and higher than the amount in 2020.

There was some discussion about specific ditches and upcoming projects. It was determined that a motion would be made on Monday, August 1, 2022 as a resolution would need to be written.

With no further business, the meeting adjourned.
