Bonnie Lee (Smallman) Stover, 84, a longtime resident of Lyons, went home to rest with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, following a brief illness. She was born March 25, 1934, in Morenci, Mich., to the late Lee Smallman and Eva (Price) Smallman.

Bonnie grew up on a farm in rural Metamora. She graduated from Metamora High School in 1953 and worked at The Wire Factory in Wauseon. Bonnie later provided in-home care for the elderly.

What Bonnie lacked in stature, she made up for in spunk. She will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, dimpled grin, determination, independence, unique style, and sense of adventure. She enjoyed the outdoors, physical fitness, preparing healthy meals, crafting, and spending time with family.

Bonnie was a member of Lyons Christian Church and dutiful follower of Jesus Christ. She committed countless hours to studying scripture and devotional reading in preparation for His return. She recently traveled to Israel to visit the Holy Land, and rededicated her commitment to Christ with baptism in the Jordan River.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Salsbury; brothers, Frank (Chloe) Smallman and Ian (Dorothy) Smallman; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Sheba.

Bonnie was also preceded in death by her brother, Nelson Smallman; spouses, Gilbert Culp, Floyd Crowell, and Clifford Stover; and sons, David Culp and Danny Crowell.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at Weigel Funeral Home, 413 E. Main St., Metamora, with Pastor Heather Schimmel officiating. Interment will follow at Amboy Township Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, and Tuesday one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lyons Christian Church, 138 E. Morenci St., Lyons, Ohio 43533.
