Christine Brigle (1949-2019)

Christine Rose Brigle, 69, of Montpelier passed away Sunday morning at her home. She was born on August 11, 1949 in Bryan to Donald J. and Isabel J. (Tingley) Imm.

Chris graduated from Montpelier High School in 1968, she then went on to the Toledo School of Nursing where she earned her Associated Degree as an LPN. On August 28, 1971 she married Ronn Brigle at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montpelier and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1996.

Chris was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Montpelier Moose, and was the former secretary of the Montpelier Athletic Boosters. She retired on September 1, 2018 from Community Health and Wellness Centers in Bryan after 49 ½ years of employment, the majority of the years spent in the OB Department. Chris and her husband Ronn were the owner / operators of Kindler’s Flower Shop in Montpelier. She loved going to Florida, scrap booking, Montpelier sports, the Ohio State Buckeyes and playing 31 with her friends.  

She is survived by her three children, Ryan (Jessica) Brigle of New Albany, Ohio, Katie (Nathan) Rose of Montpelier and Todd (Nicole) Brigle of Alvordton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Ethan, Chase & Marisa Brigle, Halie, Harrison & Malorie Rose and Kendon, Dakota & Oliver Brigle; siblings Kathleen Berry of Montpelier, Charlene (Richard) Sims of Peru, Indiana, Don (Lori) Imm of Montpelier, Kenny (Pam) Imm of Spencerville, Indiana and Collene (Bob) Hill of Bryan; three surviving aunts, many nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Chris was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ronn.


Visitation for Chris will be on Wednesday, March 6th from 2-7:30pm, with a Scripture service at 7:30p at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father David Tscherne to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Montpelier Athletic Boosters. Condolence can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
