Roger L. Walters, 66 years, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance, with his family with him.

Roger was born June 2, 1952 in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Harold L. and Carolyn G. (Sickmiller) Walters. He was a 1970 graduate of Ayersville High School. Roger was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Viet Nam Era. Roger was employed as a Maintenance Man, working for Williams County. He had previously worked for Brown’s Bakery in Defiance, until they closed.

Surviving are his two children, Heidi Shutts of Bryan and Greg (Nicole Dennison) Walters of Sherwood; two grandsons, Cory Hemenway and Austin Hemenway; father and stepmother, Harold (Linda) Walters of Tavares, Florida; four sisters, Terri Balzer, Kim (Rich) Reed and Kelli (Scot) Tuttle, all of Bryan and Toni (D.J.) Oglive of Salem, Ohio, along with many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.

There will be no services or visitation in accordance to Roger’s wishes.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, 6825 State Route 66 North, Defiance, Ohio 43512.
