WAUSEON – The Wauseon Lady Indians welcomed in the Lady Bulldogs of Defiance on October 1, and saw their visitors getting away with a slim 3-2 win.
In first singles, Mackenzie Eberly lost to Kristine Shannon 3-6, 1-6. Vicky Kahrs was downed in second singles 6-7 (4-7), 6-3 and 1-6, while in third singles Autumn Dominique defeated Sammy Foss 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Moving to doubles play, as they prepared for the sectional tournament, Ellie Hayati and Sally Frank won in convincing fashion with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Laura Castillo and Cournty Polce. Second doubles saw Ashlyn Boyers and Cheresee Bussing lose to Karen Krontz and Danielle Vance with scores of 3-6, 2-6.
