Pettisville Lady Blackbirds Rally For Road BBC Victory Over Edon Bombers

EDON: April 24– The Edon Bombers played host to the Pettisville Lady Blackbirds on April 24, falling to the visitors in a tight 9-7 decision. The win moves the Lady Blackbirds to 4-1 in the BBC and 5-4 overall on the season. Pettisville sets in second place in the BBC behind the Hilltop Lady Cadets.

Teagan Kauffman got credit for the victory, throwing 7 innings, allowing 7 runs off of 9 hits. Kauffman allowed 6 runs in the first 3 innings, but stiffened up in the late going to gain the win.

Offensively for Pettisville on the game, Amber Klopfenstein had a huge day, recording a triple, double and single in the victory. Jaelyn Rufenacht hit for 2 singles in the contest while teammates Audra Klopfenstein, Stefanie Hubby, Sydney Purdee, Mallory Riegsecker and Marissa Beck each hit for singles in the conference victory.

For the Bombers, Kaitlin Chrisman was tagged with the loss, allowing 10 hits and 9 runs n the game.

Alex Kiess and Eliza Zulch each hit for a double while Nicole Newell also had a good day, going for a double and a single for Edon.

The loss drops Edon to 3-2 in the BBC and 4-4 overall on the year.
