Elnora A. Kunkel (1924 – 2014)

Elnora A. Kunkel, 90, of Montpelier passed away Monday morning at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier. A Williams County resident her whole life, she was born on April 16, 1924 in Montpelier to Arthur W. and Hazel P. (Mercer) Krisher. Elnora graduated from Montpelier High School in 1943.

Elnora was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montpelier. She was a homemaker and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one son Thomas A. Van Coppenolle of Montpelier; one daughter Julia K. Gotshall of St. Genevieve, Missouri; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elgie Kunkel and one grandson Arthur Van Coppenolle.

Donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to the Williams County Humane Society. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
