Montpelier Competes In Tri-Meet With Bryan And Evergreen

(September 18th, 2014): Going up against two teams with greater numbers, the Locomotive Boys Junior High Cross Country Team had their work cut out for them. The Lady Locos found themselves on a bit more even footing.

Matthew McClain took first place at the event, running an 11:53. Gage Crusenberry was the next Loco to cross the finish line at 13:57, good for seventh place. Daniel Banks laid claim to fourteenth place, clocking in at 14:28 for Montpelier.

Montpelier had just three runner participating in the girls heat, which was more than the one runner provided by Evergreen or the one from St. Patrick’s Catholic School.

The three girls from Montpelier took third, fourth, and fifth place as Brinn Miller’s 14:38, Gabby Cox’s 15:09, and Kimberly Engels’ 15:13 were ll within a minute of each other.
