(September 11th, 2014)-WEST UNITY: Fresh off their first win of the season, the Eighth Grade girls of Hilltop added a second to their collection, this time against Edon.

Before that, however, the Seventh Grade incarnations of the Cadets and Bombers met on the former’s home court. In a match that exhausted all three games, the Edon girls got off to a hot start as they claimed the first set 25-14. Refusing to get swept up in the Lady Bomber momentum, Hilltop earned a difficult victory in game 2 by the narrowest of margins, 25-22. A game 3 was needed to determine the winner of the match, and both sides played like it, with Edon just barely taking the set and the match 25-22.

With the excitement of the first match at an end, the Eighth Grade match was decidedly more decisive. The Lady Bombers battled hard, but the girls from Hilltop were able to fend off their invasion in straight sets of 25-15.
