For the past ten years, electricity customers who receive service from the municipal electric company have received a $200 credit on their electricity bill. This will continue into 2022 with council deciding to move forward yet again.
In order to receive this credit, there are some stipulations that must be met first. The customer must have lived at the location for at least one-year.
There must also have been no delinquencies throughout the year and the customer must have had a minimum electric bill of $30 a month throughout the year.
This credit is done to try and help out the members of the community. For most this will provide a free month of electricity.
Some may see lower bills for more than one month as well due to the fact that this credit will stay on a person’s account until it is fully used.
